Spiritual Retreats and Worship Workshops.

Since returning to Cape Town it has been awesome being invited to teach and facilitate at various church retreats and Worship Workshops and Conferences. Whilst the retreats have only been predominantly for Men's Groups or Ministries within the ambit of Christian Spiritual Formation and male spirituality, I do also enjoy taking couples. Regarding the Worship Workshops, this can either be for the ministry itself, or a worship-leader specific in-depth practical and spiritual workshop. I look forward to hearing from you to discuss the possibilities of us getting this together for your church!

Spiritual Retreats: These range from single-day retreats to, what tends to happen mostly, those that are given over a weekend. I am able to travel should you wish me to do so.

Worship Workshops: Those that tend to work the best are given over the course of a day. Most churches tend toward that being a Saturday. What we deal with is basically discovering our highest calling and how we best serve God within that given our talents, gifting, and leadership abilities for those who have been called to lead. "The power to bless the world around you is a direct result of your ministry to the Lord" (Gerrit Gustafson). In these workshops we speak into what worship is, our calling within it, the anointing, worshipping in "Spirit and in Truth", and, among other areas, worship and the Presence of God. This normally takes until lunch-time. After lunch we get stuck into the practical side of church worship. This moves from instrumentation, vocal, harmonies, utilization of 'light and shade' in what we do, planning worship sets, best key options, and a host of other areas. I always summarise what we have learnt and mail that through in PDF format to each participant. Should you wish me to attend practices after that, I will gladly do so. I look forward to hearing from you in this regard!

Tell the World - YouTube Video PDF  | Print |  E-mail

View one of Grant's songs, inspired by the call to missions and entitled "Tell the World".  Grant says; "During our Theology of Mission module at Cornerstone Christian College in Cape Town last year , Martin Mostert, our lecturer, had us prepare an oral presentation on Mission and our own Mission Statement. When I thought about it I asked him whether I could 'hum it' , he said 'of course' so I wrote this plea to the world, in an effort to ensure that they do not simply sit on the fringes, but actively get involved in making a difference in the world.

Souled Out ... For Jesus - CD Cover

Souled Out ... For Jesus

Released 2007

I don't know about you, but I am stoked to be "SOULED OUT ... FOR JESUS"! We know that this means that we need to be serving Him loyally, giving of our time, our spiritual gifts, our obedience, and our whole - hearted commitment to His creation and, in turn, living a God saturated life. Is that not an awesome space for us to continually strive to be in?

This project has been an absolutely awesome one. The songs were written in Cape Town, Lagos, Accra, Dar es Salaam, and Zanzibar and in all these places the absolute love for Jesus is apparent and growing in a mighty way as more and more people see His light shining through our fellow Christian brothers and sisters in those areas!

I trust that you will be blessed by this compilation of songs as we were in putting it together for you!

Beyond the skyBeyond the sky

Released March 2006

This album is the culmination of an amazing journey the Lord has taken me on over the past two years. I am still in awe that God had a plan to take me, a recording artist/songwriter, from my comfort zone in Cape Town, to leading worship and spreading the Good News through the ministry of music in West Africa.

While I have been extremely blessed be seeing lives changed before my eyes, and the awesome work of the Lord, I have grown and been used by Him in a mighty way myself, and for this He deserves all praise, honour and glory.

I pray that this album is a blessing to you. Keep looking up and let the world see Him through you!

Diversity - Grant Nuss - CD CoverDiversity

Released September 2003

Diversity was an amazing project undertaken with Tom Fox (Bright Blue / The Usual) on guitar and half of the tracks initiated in his studio at home. It was great to have James Stewart , Peter Cohen (Mango Groove / freshlyground) on the album. It got to third place in the South African SAMP3 Album Charts. The featured track “Time to Change” peaked at number 2 on the SAMP3 charts being for the most downloaded mp3’s at that time. The album received great media support with my favourite review being that of Sylvester Haskins of The Star newspaper writing; “Positively kicking with energy, Grant Nuss’s Diversity is a hit!” Thanks Sylvester! It's worth a listen and can be found for only R45 by clicking the Take Two link!
